Meet the Manistee County Road Commissioners BOARD CHAIRPERSON - Duane Anderson Mr. Anderson has served on the Board since January 2002.  He served as Board Chairperson from 2003 to 2005.  He then served as Vice-Chairperson before being re-elected by his fellow members to the Chairperson position again in 2008. BOARD VICE-CHAIRPERSON - William Eckhardt  Mr. Eckhardt was appointed to the Road Commission Board beginning January 2008.  Bill will complete the term Board member Sylvester C. "Buck" Flarity who retired from the Board December 31, 2007 after 19 years of service to the Road Commission.  Bill is retired from the Michigan Department of Transportation.  MEMBER- Jerry R. Ware Mr. Ware was appointed to serve the Manistee County Road Commission in January 2002 to a 4 year term.  Jerry has served as Chairperson from 2002 through 2003.  He has also been Vice-Chairperson and is currently a member.  Mr. Ware is retired after many years of owning his own construction company. MEMBER - Sally Reckow Mrs. Reckow was appointed to a six year term on the Road Commission Board beginning in January 2008.  Her position came about as the Manistee County Board took action to expand the Road Commission Board from three members to five members. MEMBER - James J. Russell Mr. Russell was appointed to the Board to begin his term in September 2007.  He came to the Board when the County Commission expanded the Road Commission Board from three members to five members.  Jim is no stranger to the Board as he previously served as a member from June 1995 through December 2001.
