REMOVAL OF SIGNS IN COUNTY
ROAD RIGHT OF WAY

WE NEED TO BE ABLE TO MOW!

Notice is hereby given that all unauthorized signs in the county road right of way will be removed by the Manistee County Road Commission.  These signs include but are not limited to real estate, political, sale signs, etc.  Assume 33 foot right of way on county roads.  If you are unsure of the right of way on state highways, contact the Road Commission.

The signs will be kept for a period of time at the Road Commission building.

SH-SH-SHAKE YOUR MAILBOX ON
 OCTOBER 18

The Mainstee County Road Commission is asking residents to prepare for winter by shaking their mailbox.  In most instances where mailboxes are damaged, the snow plow doesn't  actually hit the mailbox, but the force of snow thrown from the roadway is enough to knock down a loose mailbox.  Please take the time to tighten and secure mail receptacles.  If the mailbox moves when shaken, it probably won't withstand standard snow removal operations and should be repaired or replaced before winter.
